Diacritic Robaat របាទ ( )

    Robaat is the reflex of an origanal /r/ in Sanskrit words.

  1. In most words, when the (robaat) occurs over a final consonant, both consonant and the robaat is not pronounced.
  2. In some cases, the effect of robaat is to change the vowel/OO/ to /Oe/.
  3. When robaat appears over a medial consonant, it is pronouced.
