Syntax

လား   is an ending of questions that can be answered with "yes" or "no".  Here လား follows a noun.

ခင်ဗျား ဆရာလား။   Are you a teacher?

မဟုတ်ပါဘူး   follows a noun as an ending of negative statements.

သူ ကျောင်းသား မဟုတ်ပါဘူး။   He is not a student.

ခင်ဗျား ဆရာ မဟုတ်ပါဘူး။   You are not a teacher.
