III.   Syllable Structure

The written syllable employs the concept of a central consonant, around which a vowel or vowel combination can be placed: right, left, above, or below.  In this lesson two long vowels are introduced.

1.   -า  /aa/ must be put to the right of a consonant.

มา /maa/
ตา /taa/
อา /aa/
กา /kaa/

 

2. -ี /ii/ must be put above a consonant.

มี /mii/
นี /nii/

IV.  Sentence Structure

A simple sentence usually consists of words in Subject + Verb + Object order.  In this lesson, the following list shows the words used as subjects, verb, and objects.
