Patricia (Bryson) Henry at the height of her powers,
age 2, posing for the 1947 Norther yearbook, with her
mother, Mary Elizabeth Moore Bryson.

The picture was taken to demonstrate the novelty of students
actually having children while attending school, and was also
providing evidence of the opening salvo of the Baby Boom.
There were two other children (with their mothers) in the picture,
but Patricia was clearly the cutest.

Please note the fashionably grubby saddle shoes worn by
Mary, this being the height of chic in 1947.

Also, note the use of a book to try to prevent Patricia
from bursting into tears, perhaps a foreshadowing of
her future as an academic (who still bursts into tears on
occasion).
