1. Installed President of the National United Front for National Salvation by the Vietnamese. He was Secretary General of the People’s Revolutionary Party of Kampuchea until 1989.
2. Current Prime-Minister of Camboida. Co-Prime Minister with Norodom Ranariddh from 1993 to 1997.
3. Member of the Standing Committee of the Communist Party of Kampuchea under Democratic Kampuchea. He defected to the government in 1996, bringing with him DK forces in Pailin.
4. Member of the Democratic Kampuchea inner circle, head of state of DK Nordom Sihanouk in 1975. He is believed by many to be “more acceptable” than other DK leaders. He was beaten by a mob on his return in Phnom Penh in 1991.

10. An investment banker who returned to Cambodia from France, he served as Finance Minister in the coalition government from 1993 to 1994 when he was ousted by FUNCINPEC. He formed his own political party that bears his name, which is the only opposition party in parliament.
11. Head of the Khmer People’s National Liberation Front, and, after the signing of the Paris Agreements, the founder of the Buddhist Liberal Democratic Party. He retired from politics in 1993 and died in 2000.
12. Minister of Defense and Deputy Prime Minister under Democratic Kampuchea. He was murdered by order of Pol Pot in 1997.
13. Nicknamed “the butcher,” he is one of only two men imprisoned for crimes committed under DK rule. The head of the DK Southwest zone, he used his forces to conduct brutal purges of other zones. He was captured in 1999, signaling a final end to the Khmer Rouge movement.
