The Interlinear translation is another tool in helping you translate assigned texts. You can save your work at any time and then resume working on that translation at some subsequent date. The latest version of a word-for-word and a smooth translation is saved for any given individual.
To use this program, first, select the language by clicking on appropriate option on number 1. Then, select an exercise already provided.
For general users, please type Guest on "Name" and z555444 on "Znumber" then click Submit.
For students or special users, you have to type your last name and first name on "Name" and your assigned Z number on "Znumber" to log in the Interlinear Translator program. Students and special users will be able to save their works in the network, so that they can always access their works or return to previous works. To obtain special user status, please send inquiry and short curriculum vitae to Prof. Patricia Henry at phenry@cs.niu.edu.
After clicking Submit, you will see a set of "word by word" translation boxes. Type the English translation for each word, one per box, in the box provided below the corresponding Indonesian word. Next, you should provide a "smooth" translation for every sentence you have done. You can do this sentence-by-sentence or after you finish translating the whole passage. Then, you can click "Submit" to look your word by word and smooth translation results. You can print or copy-and-paste to word processors like MS-Word. General users do not have access to save their works.
