Little Hero
Once upon a time, there was a king called Prabu Mandiri. Prabu Mandiri had a son named Mandala. Mandala was a brave and honest child. He was only nine years old. He was kindhearted and he was not arrogant.
The Kingdom of Prabu Mandiri was attacked by an enemy. The enemy was the Kingdom of Karanghawu. The Kingdoms were at war for months. What a great battle that war was!
Prabu Mandiri said, "O ye Mandala...lead our people to war! Go ask the help of your uncle...I am getting old, my strength has diminished. I am without energy anymore."
In hearing the words of his father, Mandala bowed his forehead to the floor.
Mandala and his uncle went to the battle ground. The sound of the wooden gong soared and loud announcement were made. People gathered around the King's Palace.
Mandala announced, "O ye my people! The enemy is getting nearby, our country will be taken! Bring all of your weapons...we defend our country! (we are) Brave because (we are) right, Be scared (only if) we are wrong!
The people cheered, then went to the battle ground. The brought with them swords, arrows, and spears. They finally defeated the enemy.
The people cheered and yelled..."Long live the little hero! Long live the little hero!
The whole country was relieved. Mandala then replaced his father as the king.
