ลอยเรือชาวเล
เป็นประเพณีที่มีขึ้นก่อนถึงหน้ามรสุม
โดยชาวเลที่อาศัยอยู่บนฝั่งทะเลด้านตะวันตกของไทยได้แก่ จังหวัดระนอง ภูเก็ต
กระบี่ ตรัง และสตูล จัดขึ้นปีละ ๒ ครั้ง วันขึ้น ๑๓ - ๑๕ ค่ำ และแรม ๑ ค่ำ
เดือน ๖ และเดือน ๑๑

Loy Rua Chao Lay, or Boat Launching Festival, belongs to sea people living along
Thailand's western coast--Ranong, Phang-nga, Phuket, Krabi, Trang, and Satun. It is
celebrated twice a year before the monsoon seasons, say during 13th and 15th day of the
new moon in the 6th lunar month and on the 1st day of the waning moon in 11th lunar month. |
