- The parts
of the expression ກໍ........ຄືກັນ kɔ̄ɔ....khýy-kan may
occur separately or together in one of three ways, all with the same seaming.
For example,

khɔ̂y kɔ̄ɔ si pay |
I am going too. |
ຂ້ອຍ ສິໄປຄືກັນ |
khɔ̂y si pay khýy kan |
I am going too. |
ຂ້ອຍກໍສິໄປຄືກັນ |
khɔ̂y kɔ̄ɔ si pay khýy kan |
I am going too. |
Note the word order: kɔ̄ɔ follows the
subject: khýy-kan comes at the end.
- ພົວກເຮົາ phùak-háw
(we) often
occurs as ເຮົາ háw
alone. ເຮົາ háw also has another meaning that you will learn later.
- ບໍ່ແມ່ນ bɔ̄ɔ mε̄εn may precede a question.

- When either place or time occurs in one sentence, it comes after
the verb. When both occur in the same sentence, time usually comes at the
beginning.
