1. In Lesson 4, ໄດ້   ̵āy ຊຊຊຊຊຊ was used as a helping verb. Here it is used as a main verb meaning 'to get, attain'.

For example,

ອາຍຸເຈົ້າໄດ້ຈັກປີ

aañū càw dày càk pii

How old are you?

2. nȳŋ  ໜຶ່ງ 'one' is sometimes left out of some expressions.   (ກິນເວລາ ຊົ່ວໂມງໜຶ່ງ) kin wéeláa sūamóoŋ khǝ̄ŋ ຊຊຊຊຊຊຊIt takes one and a half hours. 

   Note the meaning difference word order makes in the following two phrases.

ຊົ່ວໂມງເຄີ່ງ	sūamóoŋ khǝ̄ŋ	one and a half hours
ເຄີ່ງຊົ່ວໂມງ	khǝ̄ŋ sūamóoŋ	half an hour

3. Although nȳŋ  ໜຶ່ງ    usually follows a noun, it must come before the noun in phrases such as the following. 

ໜຶ່ງຊົ່ວໂມງປາຍ	nȳŋ sūamóoŋ paay	more than one hour
ໜຶ່ງຊົ່ວໂມງ ສິບນາທີ	nȳŋ sūamóoŋ síp náathíi	one hour and 10 minutes
ໜຶ່ງໂມງຫ້າສິບ	nȳŋ móoŋ hâa síp	1.50 o'clock
