1. Note the difference in Lao between the following two questions. 

For example,

ເຈົ້າມານຳໃຜ	càw máa nám phǎy	Who did you come with?
ເຈົ້າມານຳຫຍັງ	càw máa nám ñǎŋ	How did you come?

2. The sentences pay sǎy máa ໄປໄສມາ and khīi ñǎŋ máa ຂີ່ຫຍັງມາ         have a similar structure.  máa ມາ  is a secondary verb showing direction toward the speaker.
3. hēt kaan ເຮັດການ    means 'to work at one's profession'.  pay kaan ໄປການ   means 'to go to one's office'.  hēt wìak ເຮັດວຽກ    means 'to work, do a task'.
