Now Rub Bua-Yon Bua entertains boat contests. The ceremonial boat, dominated by miniature Luangphor Toh Bang Plee make out of bamboo joints and placed with golden paper, moves along Khlong Samrong. People on the banks of the canal fling lotus flowers on board to pay homage to Luangphor. Meanwhile, "Khao Tom Mud" (sweetened rice sticks wrapped in banana leaf) are hurled from the boat onto the banks as "return gifts".
