    One day, long ago, a hungry fox went out to find something to eat.  He couldn't find anything.   However, he headed for home even hungrier than before. 

    Coming to a big shade tree, he decided to take a little rest.  When he looked up to the top of the tree, he saw an eagle with a big piece of roasted rice cake in his mouth.  It smelled very good.  So, the fox wanted that piece of the rice cake the eagle had in his mouth.  He thought about it, and, finally, he spoke to the eagle, "I used to listen to  your father sing a song, which was very pleasant to hear.  He made all the animals living in the forest very happy."

    When the eagle heard this from the fox, he was very proud and happy.  He opened his mouth to sing a song to make all the animals become very happy like the fox said his father had done before.  When the eagle opened his mouth to sing a song, however, the big piece of roasted rice cake fell from his mouth and into the mouth of the fox who then ran off with it.
