Introduction to Lesson One©

• In this lesson you will learn how to introduce yourself and ask others their name.  You also will learn how to ask where others come from, the name of their country and the different regions in their country.
• You will  learn how to address people properly according to the gender and the age of the person.   Gender and age are very important in face-to-face conversation in Vietnamese.  So learn Lesson One very well and practice it until you memorize the gender words and use them correctly.

Introduction to Lesson Two©

• In this lesson you will learn numbers, to tell time, to give your address, and to ask the address of the others.
• You will also learn location name, different names of ministries, names of subjects of study and different occupations.   It also helps you to incorporate your knowledge of Lesson One with the new vocabulary in this lesson.
• There are few rules in using the numbers after number ten, so learn them well now.

• This lesson will introduce to you action verbs, names of different occupations , and names of different places.
• It also shows you how to use of the  informal question word  "aø". This word "aø" following  a statement implies that the speaker expects confirmation , affirmative or negative, of the statement.

• Duration phrases with "from ..to", and "how long"
• Idiomatic usage of adjectives.
• The use of "we" in Vietnamese:
  "chuùng toâi" # chuùng ta"
• Days of the week   ||  Date of the month
• Names of the months
• Different names for portion of the day
• Ordinal numbers
• The use of "when" according to the past, present or future, and as a question word.

This lesson will show how to select a place to rent, with new vocabulary to describe the house, the apartment or the objects to buy or to rent.  You will have a chance to incorporate the patterns from previous lessons in your transactions.  It also introduces a few more patterns:

This lesson will test you on the previous patterns and vocabulary in various fields from the past lessons.  If you have trouble in doing the exercises, then review the old lessons.  Do the exercises again before going on to the new lesson.

  "maát" in statements about the price and cost.
  "cho" as preposition (to, for).
  "cho" as verb (to give, to allow).
• Classifiers for FRUITS:
  "traùi" for Southern dialect.

This final lesson will take you to the restaurant for a good meal.  So learn the name of the different foods well, then use them in all the patterns you already have learned to give yourself a delicious meal, which you richly deserve.
