The classmates said the story that Maanii told is worth hearing.

This poem comprises of 4 stanzas [ บท], and each stanza has 4 lines [บาท]. Each line is written in two seperate groups of words calles "วรรค ", so there are 8 วรรค in one บท[stanza] of this poem.

1. The last word of วรรค 1 rhymes with the first or second word of วรรค 2 [โก้ - โต] .
2. The last word of วรรค 2 rhymes with the last word of วรรค 3 [ ขา - ตา].
3. These patterns are repeated for วรรค 5-8:
The last word of วรรค 5 rhymes with the first or second word of วรรค 6 [ มา - หน้า]
and the last word of วรรค 6 rhymes with the last word of วรรค 7 [ คาง - ต่าง].
4. The last word of วรรค 4 rhymes with the last word of วรรค 6 [หาง -คาง] (shown in green).

There is also a between-stanza rhyme. The last word of วรรค 8 of the first stanza (บาทที่ ๑) rhymes with the last word of วรรค 4 of the next stanza (บาทที่ ๒) [ ใจ - ได้] (shown in orange).
