49.    He came to Onkot and Chompupan,	๔๙. ถึงที่องคตชมพูพาน
The monkey soldiers of the left and right.	วานรทวยหาญซ้ายขวา
He sat down in the middle of the troops	นั่งลงท่ามกลางโยธา
And he told them everything that had happened.	แล้วแจ้งกิจจาทุกสิ่งอัน  ฯ
	ฯ  ๒  คํา  ฯ  เจรจา
50.    The three officers conversed with each other	๕๐. สามนายสนทนากันไป
Until the rays of the sun became long.	จนอุทัยเรื่อแรงแสงฉัน
He had the troops come out of Mayan City.	เลิกพลออกจากมายัน
They went along the path.	จรจรัลไปตามมรคา  ฯ
	ฯ  ๒  คํา  ฯ  รุกร้น
51.    He hurried the troops onward.	๕๑. เร่งรีบโยธาพลากร
They stopped to spend the night in the forest.	หยุดพักแรมรอนมาในป่า
Altogether they went nine leagues	ล่วงทางเก้าโยชน์คณนา
Till they came to a great river.	ก็ถึงมหานที  ฯ
	ฯ  ๒  คํา  ฯ  เชิด
52.    He saw a lady with a pretty face.	๕๒. แลเห็นนางหนึ่งประไพพักตร์
Her features were lovely.	ทรงลักษณ์แน่งน้อยเฉลิมศรี
She sat in the middle of the water.	นั่งอยู่ในกลางวารี
The monkey chief was very happy.	ขุนกระบี่ปรีดาสถาวร
He spoke sweet words.	จึ่งกล่าวมธุรสวาจา
"O, lovely lady,	ดูก่อนวนิดาดวงสมร
Why are you in the middle of the water?	ไฉนมาอยู่ในสาคร
What is your name?	มีนามกรชื่อใด
Which way is it to Lanka?	ทางจะไปลงกาธานี
Do you know, or don't you?	มารศรียังรู้ฤาหาไม่
Be merciful and let me know.	เมตตาช่วยบอกให้แจ้งใจ
I must go and pay audience to Lady Sita."	เราจะไปเฝ้าองค์นางสีดา  ฯ
	ฯ  ๖  คํา  ฯ
53.    Then	๕๓. เมื่อนั้น
The divine nymph, the lovely one,	นางเทพอัปสรเสน่หา
Listened to the monkey asking questions.	ได้ฟังวานรถามมา
The maiden answered.	กัลยาจึ่งตอบวาที
"I am a servant	เรานี้เป็นข้าบาทบงสุ์
Of the glorious Siva.	องค์พระอิศวรเรืองศรี
My name is Suwan Mali.	ชื่อว่าสุวรรณมาลี
I am a confidential servant of Siva.	เป็นที่ต่างใจภูธร
He has me waiting for a soldier	ใช้ให้มาคอยทหาร
Of Naray, the Avatar, the arrow-bearer,	พระนารายณ์อวตารทรงศร
Who is going to pay his respects to Lady Sita	จะไปเฝ้าสีดาบังอร
To tell him the way to the city of the devils.	ให้บอกทางจรเมืองมาร
Take your troops	ท่านจงพาพลโยธี
Across the broad river.	ข้ามมหาวารีไพศาล
You will meet an ascetic.	จะพบพระชฎิลอาจารย์
Ask him about the situation."	จึ่งถามเหตุการณ์ต่อไป  ฯ
	ฯ  ๘  คํา  ฯ
54.    Then	๕๔. เมื่อนั้น
Strong Hanuman, the great soldier,	คําแหงหนุมานทหารใหญ่
Listened to the heavenly nymph	ฟังนางอัปสรสุราลัย
And he was happy.	มีใจชื่นชมยินดี
So he had his monkey troops	จึ่งให้โยธาวานร
Stop to rest from the heat at the edge of the water.	หยุดร้อนริมฝั่งวารีศรี
They went down into the water to play	พากันลงเล่นชลธี
And made a great noise.	เสียงมี่อื้ออึงโกลา  ฯ
	ฯ  ๔  คํา  ฯ  กราวจีน
55.    When they were finished they came up out of the water.	๕๕. ครั้นแล้วขึ้นจากกระแสสินธุ์
The monkey chief raised his hand above his head	ขุนกระบินทร์ยอกรเหนือเกศา
And he recited holy prayers.	ก็ร่ายพระเวทศักดา
He changed the form of his monkey body.	นิมิตกายาพานร  ฯ
	ฯ  ๒  คํา  ฯ  ตระ
