56.    He became as big as heaven.	๕๖. ใหญ่เท่าบรมพรหมาน
He was tall like a mountain.	สูงเพียงจักรพาลสิงขร
He threw his tail across the water.	หางนั้นพาดข้ามสาคร
To form a pathway for the troops to go.	ให้เป็นทางจรโยธี  ฯ
	ฯ  ๒  คํา  ฯ   เจรจา
57.    Then	๕๗. บัดนั้น
The glorious monkey troops	พวกพลนิกรกระบี่ศรี
Walked across as is it were solid ground.	เดินไปดั่งพื้นปัถพี
Loudly they crossed to the other shore of the river.	อึงมี่ข้ามฝั่งคงคา  ฯ

58.    Then	๕๘. บัดนั้น
The Son of the Wind, brave and glorious,	วายุบุตรวุฒิไกรใจกล้า
When the troops had finished crossing,	ครั้นเสร็จซึ่งข้ามโยธา
Hurried along the forest path.	ก็รีบตามมรคาพนาวัน  ฯ
	ฯ  ๒  คํา  ฯ  เชิด
59.    When they had walked five leagues and more,	๕๙. เดินมาสิ้นห้าโยชน์ปลาย
Just as the sun was setting,	พอชายบ่ายแสงสุริยฉัน
They saw the hermitage of an ascetic.	ก็เห็นพระอาศรมพระนักธรรม์
They went to his cell.	พากันไปยังกุฎี  ฯ
	ฯ  ๒  คํา  ฯ  เสมอ
60.    When the three monkeys arrived there	๖๐. ครั้นถึงจึ่งสามวานร
They raised their hands above their heads.	ยอกรเหนือเกล้าเกศี
They bowed down at the feet of the sage.	กราบลงแทบบาทพระมุนี
Their hearts were happy.	ด้วยใจยินดีปรีดา  ฯ
	ฯ  ๒  คํา  ฯ
61.    Then	๖๑. เมื่อนั้น
The ascetic, teacher of great wisdom,	พระชฎิลอาจารย์ฌานกล้า
Saw the three monkeys come.	เห็นสามกระบี่เข้ามา
So, he asked them,	จึ่งมีวาจาถามไป
"This business of your leading the troops,	ซึ่งท่านพาพวกโยธี
Your coming here. Where are you going?	มานี้จะไปหนไหน
Where are you from?	ถิ่นฐานบ้านเมืองอยู่แห่งใด
Who has you to come?"	คือใครใช้สอยวานร  ฯ
	ฯ  ๔  คํา  ฯ
62.    Then	๖๒. บัดนั้น
Brave, skillful Hanuman	คําแหงหนุมานชาญสมร
Answered with elegant words.	จึ่งตอบด้วยคําอันสุนทร
"My name is Hanuman.	นามกรข้าชื่อหนุมาน
They are Chompupan and Onkot.	นั่นชมพูพานองคต
We lead ten brave troops.	คุมทศโยธาทวยหาญ
We are subjects of the Avatar King.	เป็นข้าสมเด็จพระอวตาร
We are here by his order	โองการตรัสใชให้้มา
To find out about the Queen.	เยือนข่าวองค์พระมเหสี
We're on our way to the city of Totsapak the Giant.	ยังบุรีทศพักตร์ยักษา
As for the way to Lanka,	อันทางจะไปลงกา
I don't clearly know it.	ตัวข้าไม่แจ้งประจักษ์ใจ
So, I'm calling on you, great teacher.	จึ่งแวะมาหาพระอาจารย์
Help me by telling me	ขอประทานจงช่วยบอกให้
Whether it's near or far.	ยังใกล้ฤาไกลประการใด
Have mercy on me."	พระองค์จงได้ปรานี  ฯ
	ฯ  ๘  คํา  ฯ
63.    Then	๖๓. เมื่อนั้น
The great ascetic	พระมหาชฎิลฤาษี
Knew that these were the soldiers of the Discus-bearer.	แจ้งว่าทหารพระจักรี
He was as happy as if he had reached the sixteenth level of heaven.	ยินดีดั่งได้โสฬส
Now the devils	ปางนี้อสุรหมู่มาร
Would die. It would be the end of their family	จะวายปราณสิ้นโคตรวงศ์หมด
Due to Naray's power.	ด้วยเดชพระนารายณ์ทรงยศ
There would be happiness in ten directions.	ทศทิศจะสุขสําราญใจ
Then he said, "It is difficult to go to Lanka,	จึ่งว่าลงกานี้ไปยาก
Very difficult to cross the canyon.	แสนลําบากข้ามห้วยเหวไศล
From here to there	กําหนดแต่ที่นี้ไป
It is fifteen leagues	ได้สิบห้าโยชน์คณนา
To a mountain	จะถึงซึ่งเขาหนึ่งนั้น
Which is called Hemtiran.	ชื่อเหมติรันภูผา
It's at the edge of a great river.	อยู่ริมมหาคงคา
It's the place where you cross to the city of the devils."	เป็นท่าข้ามไปเมืองมาร  ฯ
	ฯ  ๘  คํา  ฯ
64.    Then	๖๔. บัดนั้น
The three monkey officers	จึ่งสามวานรนายทหาร
Understood the words of the teacher.	ได้แจ้งแห่งคําพระอาจารย์
Having paid respects, they came back to the army.	มัสการแล้วมายังโยธี  ฯ
	ฯ  ๒  คํา  ฯ  เสมอ
65.    When the day ended	๖๕. ครั้นรุ่งรางสางแสงทินกร
The three glorious monkey chiefs	สามพระยาพานรเรืองศรี
Ordered the troops to move out from	ก็เลิกแสนสุรเสนี
The cell of the ascetic.	ไปจากกุฎีพนะนักพรต  ฯ
