| There is only Hanuman, who has
magical powers, |
เห็นแต่หนุมานผู้ฤทธี |
| And Chompupan the monkey

กับชมพูพานพานริน |
| And Onkot, grandson of the
magnificent Indra. |
องคตหลานอินทร์เรืองศรี |
| All three are exceptionally good. |
ทัง้สามแต่ล้วนตัวดี |
| Besides these three there is no one else. |
นอกนี้ไม่เห็นผู้ใด |
| Even if they meet a giant and fight. |
ถึงพบยักษ์มารจะราญรอน |
| They can be flexible in any situation. |
ทีหักทีอ่อนก็ทำได้ |
| Let these three officers go |
ขอให้สามนายนี้ไป |
| And pay audience to Her Majesty in the city of giants." |

| "You who have magnificent magical power in battle. |

| Carry the message. |
จงนำยุบลข่าวสาร |
| Go to the beautiful woman. |
ไปให้ถึงองค์นงคราญ |

| And the Queen’s royal breast cloth |

| He prostrated himself in happiness. |
กราบกับบทมาลย์ด้วยยินดี |
| Then he said, "As for your using me |
แล้วทูลว่าซึ่งพระองค์ใช้ |
| To go to the royal city Lanka |
ให้ไปลงกาบุรีศรี |
| To bring news to the Queen |
แจ้งข่าวอัครราชเทวี |
| If this is all you command, I can do it. |
เพียงนี้พอได้ดั่งบัญชา |
| But as for giving the ring |
แต่ซึ่งจะถวายพระธำมรงค์ |
| And the breast cloth to the Queen, |
กับสไบแก่องค์กนิษฐา |
| What if she is suspicious of what I tell her |
เกลือกนางจะแคลงวิญญาณ์ |
| And she says, "These things fell in the forest |
ว่าของนี้ตกอยู่ในไพร |
| And Totsakan’s group was
out wandering for pleasure. |
พวกทศกัณฐ์ไปเที่ยวเล่น |
| Whoever saw them could pick them up. |
ใครเห็นก็เก็บมาได้ |
| What if you are lying to make me feel good, |
หากแกล้งแต่งลวงประโลมใจ |
| And you aren’t a soldier of the Discus-bearer?" |

| This is what I see as being very difficult, |

| Then bring up the past event when I lifted the arrow |
จงเอาความหลังเมื่อยกศิลป์ |

เนตรเรากับเนตรนางเทวี |
| Flirted, back and forth. Our eyes met |
ถ้อยทีถ้อยเล็งประจวบกัน |
| Through an opening in a palace window. |

| Each of us felt the stirrings of passion. |
ต่างคิดพิศวาสเสียวสัน |
| This secret is a signal. |

| At the feet of King Naray the Creator |

| And his beautiful younger brother. |

| In the middle of a forest. |
อยู่ที่กลางป่าพนาลัย |
| The water which filled the pond was clean and pure. |
น้ำเปี่ยมเหลี่ยมขอบใสสะอาด |
| Stalks of precious lotus were in abundant bloom. |
ปทุมมาศชูก้านบานไสว |
| Water plantain, water lettuce, and water chestnut alternated. |
สันตวาจอกกระจับสลับไป |
| There were leaves and pods, young and old, mixed together. |
ใบฝักแก่อ่อนแกมกัน |
| There was a school of fish. |
มีหมู่มัจฉาคลาคล่ำ |
| They jumped up and dived down, and swam around and around in circles. |
ผุดดำว่ายเวียนเหียนหัน |
| They were surrounded by plants of many kinds |
ประกอบด้วยมิ่งไม้หลายพรรณ |
| Like the pond in joyful heaven. |
ดั่งสระในชั้นดุษฎี |
| The ground was smooth sand. |
ที่นั้นรายรื่นพื้นทราย |
| The three officers were delighted. |
สามนายมีใจเกษมศรี |
| So they halted their troops |
ก็หยุดพหลโยธี |
| At the edge of the lotus pond. |

| The wind blew gently. |
พระพายชายพัดอ่อนอ่อน |
| A sweet smell of pollen moved through the air. |
หอมรสเกสรขจรกลิ่น |
| Dew fell, touching the earth. |
น้ำค้างตกต้องแผ่นดิน |
| Finally, all the troops went to sleep. |
